I am waiting to have chemo number 3, and symptoms are manageable so far for me. But I have a horrendous cough which tastes like acid and its horrendous. Has anyone else had issues with acid reflux and an irritable cough?
I have had my first TC last week and have suffered from acid reflux after - so the doctor prescribed an acid blocker - apparently it's a normal thing and happens to many people.
Mine is Pantozol, but I'm in Switzerland, so not sure the same exists where you are :) There are other brand names too. here you can only get them on prescription too.
Doesnt seem to touch it for me :( I think its because I have been on naproxen for many years due to arthritis so I think maybe I have perm damage which the chemo is not helping!
I had omeprazole and it worked with no side effects. Acid reflux is a chemo side effect and can cause permanent damage if untreated so tell your team. They sort it straightaway xx
