Self isolating during radiotherapy

Hi Iblodwin 3 weeks will pass in a jiffy, I had to shield/self isolate for 16months!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, well done @famerann such a long time. I'm just wondering what the current rules are... Do I have to? Not that I'm exactly swinging from the chandeliers at night clubs... Just want to go out for walks etc.

I am starting my three weeks next Wednesday, I haven't been told to isolate though I am keeping away from high risk situations, I'm not going swimming but will go for walks.  They have not requested that I  isolate but am catching every bug going this year so will use some good old fashioned common sense. Check with your breast nurse though. 

Hi Iblodwin I started my 3 week course on Monday this week. Didn’t have a Covid test before starting although the nurse did take a swab on Wednesday - which seems a bit strange but guessing I’d have heard by now if it was positive.

I wasn’t told to isolate either, I’m just continuing to be careful to try and make sure my 3 weeks don’t get disrupted.
