Just restarted Phesgo injections. Number 5 of 18. Last time had it alongside chemo. Paused for surgery. Has anyone had any SEs when having just the phesgo on its own? I seem to have a bad taste in my mouth and things taste a bit differently. This was one of the worst SEs for me from chemo and really don't want this again. Am I imagining this? I've also recently started taking Amitriptyline for nerve pain and wonder if that could be effecting taste. That I could stop. The phesgo needs to continue of course. I did experience a huge red mark after this injection too, and it was slightly warm but that's faded now and wasn't sore, so nothing to worry about there.u
Hi lblodwin, I’m having the same amount of Phesgo as you, had no 7 last week, 4 with chemo and 3 as Herceptin & Pergeta injection (Phesgo), I haven’t experienced any SEs, just a little tender at injection site, but usually gone by the next day.
As Phesgo isn’t chemo, you wouldn’t expect anything like taste to change, maybe some one can offer more advice, or oncology may advise you, hope you get to the bottom of it, you have been through enough with chemo without it happening again x
