Finished chemo today Oncologist says start back on Letrazole but I never stopped - no-one said stop !!!!!!!!!

I was told they don't start hormone therapy during chemo as it's a lot for your body to handle, not that it is detrimental to treatment. 

I started zoladex injections during chemo to make sure I was post menopausal when I started on exemestane and the chemo definitely made menopause symptoms even more intense. 

You maybe could have had an easier time of it but I'm sure there's no harm done. 

I can’t believe I was never told to stop taking it during chemo.  I had been on it from January and just carried on taking it!  Maybe I didn’t hear my oncologist tell me to stop.  He was quite surprised when I told him.  Anyway he’s given me a break from it while I have yet another MRI scan for my butt pain.  I had a Pet scan not long ago - nothing showed up!  Thank you Beathebteast.  I didn’t know if I had made things worse.  Worse haha!  Keep well xxx

To find out about how medications interact with each other it's best to ask a pharmacist rather than a doctor. In your situation, best to ask the oncology pharmacist. As for your doctor, make sure it's in your records that you have been taking the medication during those five months. It's infuriating that they never told you, so now at least the records need to reflect it, also for the sake of getting the correct treatment going forward.
