Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone who is on Herceptin after chemo is having issues with a high heart rate? I had a scan a couple of months back because of this but everything looked normal.
My resting heart rate is still on the high side after finishing chemo - ranges from 76-86 BPM but I’ve just had Her Elton today and I’m up at 120 sitting still. It’s not that unusual fir this to happen but it is worrying me and getting me down. I told my chemo nurse today and she was pretty dismissive.

Hi, I have not had this myself, but maybe you should give your oncologist a call. I know the reason they do the regular ECHOCARDIOGRAM during Herceptin is because they want to keep an eye in the heart rate and this is Herceptin related. In saying that, I did notice on my Apple Watch that my resting hear t was anything between 50 and 90 during chemo, I always smiled and thought I must be giving their analytics team a real headache. Good luck
Thanks to you both for replying. At the moment the doctors think it’s a response to chemo, but I’m going to try to get checked again and I’m probably due another scan soon - hoping everything is ok.
