Heartburn Again

Hi there - having just had Round 2 of 3 EC and suffering terrible heartburn after the 1st round, I was prescribed Omeprazole 20mg daily which took it away. I had been advised to take them daily throughout the remainder of my treatment. This is day 6 post dose and it is back with a vengeance tonight.

Has anyone experienced this? Gaviscon not helping.

just feeling really out of control emotionally today too.

Sorry to,hear that you are suffering from heartburn. I had some heartburn during my treatment and my medical upped the dose of my anti-heartburn medication so maybe ring your medical team and they may adjust the dose of the Omeprazole you are taking.

Like Daisy on higher dos, I know folk - on in 30s and one in 80s who took 60mg omeprazole per day for a while. Best check with your helpline but if you need more on certain days of your cycle, you need more.

Hi, I was told to take 2 Omeprazole (am and pm) for a few days each cycle to get over the worst and then back to 1 a day so might be worth asking about that. It's horrid, you have my sympathy

Jacqui I upped my omeprazole, I took one tablet am and one after lunch and that helped, the heartburn is horrible x
