Hi, I was wondering who has had a cold while having chemo and how long it lasted?

I caught a cold about a week and a half ago and it’s still lingering and I’m feeling pretty rubbish, I guess it’s taking longer to fight off as I’m on chemo but just wondering if anyone else has had this.

Hi Pumpkinpie2002, I noticed that you hadn't had a response to your post so wanted to bump you back up to the top of the list by replying to you.

I imagine the answer is that it varies from person to person depending on what your immune system is currently like.

Have you tried speaking to your chemo team to see if they can answer your question and more importantly if they can recommend anything to help. Hope they can. x

Hi was looking for this kind of information myself, as just started with a cold. In week 3 so hoping will be ok. Ended up in A&E with first round, and don't want to experience that trip again if possible. Seeing my Oncologist on Tuesday so could ask him.
