Hi - I had node positive breast cancer there years ago treated with surgery , radiotherapy and tamoxifen . Two weeks ago I had a CT scan for a persistent cough which has shown a sclerotic lesion on one rib ( the cough was an allergy ) I have no pain but the oncologist has booked a bone scan . Should I be worried or is this a normal finding on CT scans and he’s just being cautious ??
Hi , it”s always going to be a worry when they find something in a bone scan but very often it proves to be nothing so try to stay positive. CT scans pick up all sorts of things that are nothing to worry about. I hope you get your bone scan done soon and that it all turns out to be nothing. Waiting for tests and results is the hardest part so try and keep busy.
Wishing you all the best x
