Hello everyone I’ve just joined the community and am having a really difficult time coping with my side effects since my first chemo session 6 days ago.

I’m TCHP, oestrogen positive, HER2 positive and having the PHESGO injection.

My stomach hurts and I now also have diarrhoea and just can’t seem to do anything, feel it’s flattened me first hit. I’m now on Day 6 since my first treatment and I’m finding it hard to see the way through, emotionally it’s been tough these last couple of days. Also scared now as the second round feels so close (3 week cycle).

Any advice on how cope with these side effects being new to it I’m worried about making things worse.

Thank you for listening xx

  • Hi LadyD

Welcome to the community and sorry to hear about your breast cancer and that things have been rough for you since your first treatment. I suggest that you contact your Oncology Day Ward and speak to one of the nurses there about how you are feeling, they are very helpful. Your medical team should be able to prescribe something to help with the diarrhoea.  Drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as you can.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Best wishes
