Hello my name is Louise brown and my mum recently was diagnosed with breast cancer and it's going through her bones bean a shock to us all and it's been hard and struggling she has people been in to see her but there is no cure for her as she has heart failure and it's not Been the news we wanted for anyone and she has has people to see her docs and we have other have been to see her from other companies pro active team and we have adult social care in place now and it's been hard as we don't have anyone to talk too about this and I don't understand it she will be on morphone and is on tables for the cancer and we do talk to the doctor and talk to anyone who may know any help would be amazing thank you
I am sorry that your mum has breast cancer that has spread to her bones. Cancer that has spread from its original site is always classed as incurable but it’s often treatable. Your mum’s heart failure complicates things, but there may be treatments she can have to slow the progression down. You mention she is on tablets - their purpose will be to slow the cancer down and reduce side effects, The doctors who are treating her will be able to advise if there is more that can be done. Pain relief may be needed if it’s not possible to contain the cancer. Again, her medical team will advise how to sort this out if/when it is needed. I have been living with breast cancer that spread to my liver since 2022 and don’t need morphine, so these things don’t always mean an immediate decline.
