Hi to you all, I'm a 71 yr old man with many medical issues. I recently went to my GP in regards to my right breast. I found a lump, the nipple had changed and it was tender to the touch and painful sometimes. He very quickly got me referred to the breast clinic for tomorrow. I currently have kidney cancer as well. I seem to remember having an operation on my left breast as a 13yr old, probably a cyst, can't remember exactly the operation details. Breast cancer runs in my dad's side of the family, that's my 4 Aunts, and 2 female cousins. Am trying to stay positive for tomorrow.
Hi Bazbond
I am sorry you are facing an appointment to find out if you have breast cancer. It sounds like you are going through a lot. Do mention your family history when you go there, it may be that they will want you to consider genetic testing if cancer is confirmed. The gene defects they look for also increase the risk of prostate cancer.
You will find a thread on the page called Blokes with Breast Cancer. We had a new male joiner to the forum only last week, so you may want to try to reach out to him. Wishing you all the best for tomorrow.
