Hi, I am new here this evening. Over the weekend just gone I found a lump on one of my breasts. First thing on Monday I contacted my GP and had a face to face with a GP on Monday afternoon, I am booked in for breast clinic appointment at the hospital in two weeks. (Fantastic response from the GP and hospital and a massive shout out to our NHS, even the booking officer wished me well) I am 44 and absolutely bricking it. I am trying to act ok, however I am a worrier and I naturally go worse case scenario in my mind, so that if it is bad news I am prepared. It’s in quite a strange place, it’s right at the top of my breast about an inch or so away from my armpit. I guess I am looking for a bit of reassurance and also an insight about what to expect when I go to the breast clinic. Thanks

  • Hi

I have just posted a response on your post in New to the Community describing my experience of going to the breast clinic, which I hope you find helpful. Welcome to the breast cancer forum. I hope it isn’t as bad as you fear.
