Hello
i have been recently diagnosed and have had a drawn out period of biopsies and MRI and more biopsies. Waiting final biopsy results and then a likely bilateral mastectomy. Feeling really frustrated by the time it’s taking and wondering if anyone else has had multi focal sites and what they decided surgically?
Hi YogiD
I am sorry you have been diagnosed with multi focal breast cancer and are facing a bilateral mastectomy. I haven’t had this experience but suspect it would be my choice. I think I would be worrying about whether it had all been found if I went down any other route, and achieving symmetry (flat or otherwise) takes away a lot of the physical problems that arise from having just 1 breast or breast of different sizes. Hopefully someone who has had this experience will come along with their views.

I have metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in remission
Thanks for your reply, yes the symmetry feels like it might at least be something positive!
there so much that whirs in my thoughts following diagnosis and a what feels like a very long drawn out waiting period.
i would be interested to know how common it is that people are waiting quite a bit longer than the recommended target treatment times?
