Hi there,
I'm new to this group.
I was lucky- my cancer was a 6mm lump successfully removed in the first op. So I no longer have cancer which is wonderful. However, what I hadn't expected was to have to have a further 2 operations to try to achieve clear margins. Has anyone on here achieved clear margins following the 3rd operation, please? I don't hold out much hope but thought I'd ask. My appointment isn't or a few weeks yet. Feeling very grateful for everything being done.
Thank you x
Hi DaisyB
I am one of the community champions on this site, and whilst I didn’t have an issue with margins, I wanted to welcome you to the community. I am sorry you are needing a 3rd operation on margins although it’s good your tumour was fully removed and also found whilst very small. Hopefully someone with direct experience will come on to comment.

Hi, sorry you have had 3 ops for clear margins. I had two ops for clear margins. I do hope you have clear margins this time. My surgeon told me as long as I had enough breast tissue he would keep operating for clear margins. Hope this hopes to settle you while waiting on results. Take care.
