Hi folks.
i attended a one stop clinic earlier this week.
i presented at my GP after noticing some swelling under one arm.
i had a clear mammogram and nothing else of note on examination physically.
the ultrasound showed “reactive”but normal looking nodes that may be linked to an infected tooth!
I have to return in 6 weeks for a repeat ultrasound.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? I feel like I am still existing in the grey!
Thankyou all
Hi there. Sorry you're in this position, limbo is definitely the worst holiday destination!
While my breast lump was confirmed as cancer, something I didn't know when this was diagnosed was what was causing the raised lymph node directly next to the lump. I obviously thought that this was the cancer spreading, but an ultrasound and subsequent biopsy showed that there was no cancer in this node. They think it was just being reactive to the original biopsy on the lump.
Hopefully this give you a little hope that it might turn out to be nothing, but I do understand the not knowing is the absolute worst! x
I went to the one stop clinic because of a lump in my armpit. I had this biopsied and it turned out to be something benign called PASH. Unfortunately (or fortunately!) when I was examined something was found in my breast on the other side, but the armpit thing was nothing to worry about. Like the previous person said, hopefully this give some hope it could turn out to be nothing. x
