Hi, new to the group.
Last year found a lump was referred to Breast Clinic and had an ultra sound which showed nothing. Noticed the lump has now grown considerably and referred back to breast clinic. Attended clinic on Monday and although the lump still cannot be seen on Mammogram and ultra sound there was an area of suspicion. Had a core biopsy and told they think it might be lobular. Have a MRI booked for Sunday and then results next Wednesday. Dont know what to think, thinking the worst! Anyone else had the same?
Hi Dido1 I have lobular cancer and it showed up on the mammogram, ultra sound it was 4cm so quite big. I believe that sometimes lobular cancer doesn't show up on the normal scans. I had MRI before treatment to check it hadn't spread to other breast. Good luck for next Wednesday, take someone with you. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Dido1 good luck for your operation on Friday. I didn't find it too painful. Do you know what treatment you will be having or are they going to wait until after the op? I knew before I was having chemo. Mine was grade 2, stage 3 and 4cm so was quite big. Good luck. Big hugs.

Well a lot has happened in the last few weeks! Had my wide local excision 3 weeks ago where they removed a 65mm mass initially they thought it was 11mm. Unfortunately did not get clear margins so having single mastectomy on the 11th May. Had a full CT scan which showed two small lesions on my liver so have an MRI liver scan next Friday. Onco type has been sent off and awaiting results to see if I need chemo. So not the news I was expecting from initial diagnosis when I was told wide local excision and then 5 lots of radiotherapy, but I suppose until they operate they don't truly know! Trying to stay positive
Hi Dido1
I am sorry you are facing further surgery and also further investigation of what they saw in your liver. I also had a lesion on my liver picked up through a CT (in my case for other reasons) which did turn out to be metastasis of my TNBC. There are other things yours could be, keeping fingers crossed for you.
