Hi I am about to start Tamoxifen and I wondered if anyone jas had any positive experiences with it please? All i ever seem to read about is the terrible side effects people have .
Hi I’m on Letrozole and having rotten hot flushes joint ache headache lack of sleeping I am under my hospital for acupuncture to try and calm the hot flushes. I am 59 and my consultant is thinking of changing medication to Tamoxifen,,, but I thought that was more for pre-menopausal women ?? so as you, I am asking now about tamoxifen! I do hope they are kind to you like yourself with both different medications I’ve never heard a positive outcome of side effects
The problem is you have to way up the pros and the cons any medication you take long term is going to have knock on effects. I was supposed to take tamoxifen for 10 years but had to come off it after five. I know some people that haven’t had any issues
I have been taking tamoxifen for about a year and a half now and don’t have any issues at all. Apart from actually taking the tablet each day I wouldn’t know I was on any medication. I had a couple of days of struggling to get the right word out and slightly warmer nights when I first started taking it but this very quickly passed. x
