Hello everyone, have been reading here for a couple of weeks now.
I found a lump in my breast and was seen by the clinic last Thursday. I had an ultrasound, three biopsies taken, a clip inserted and a mammogram. I was then seen again by the consultant who said it looked suspicious, but did not elaborate further. I am awaiting the results, but have been informed it could be up to 3 or 4 weeks, with the possibility of Christmas delaying it further.
I know I shouldn't be overthinking the consultant's ""suspicious " comment, but I feel as though I should be preparing myself for the fact it could be cancer. I've been reading online and have seen that they often know, but have the biopsy results confirm grade and type.
Many a sleepless night here!
Thanks for reading.

I read that 80% of biopsies are clear.
I also had 3 biopsies, and crossed everything to be in that 80%. The odds were closer to 50% for getting the all clear for all 3 biopsies, and I was in the "It's cancer" half. T'was a shock, but the treatments available have improved so much over the years. I'm under the care of a great hospital, got a whole plan, everything moved forward really quickly, have had 3 doses of chemo & already had an ultrasound showing the little gits in my boob have already shrunk!
Fingers crossed for you that you're in the all-clear half xx
