I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of 2023. I had a lumpectomy and was prescribed Letrozole. Since then I’ve been suffering muscle pain, bad headaches and extreme fatigue. For a while now I have had memory problems, I forget words when I’m having a conversation, I just feel spaced out much of the time. It’s really getting me down now and I’m very tearful much of the time. I suffer with depression and anxiety anyway and this is just too much.
I'm really sorry to hear you're struggling. Can i ask, are they known side effects for that drug?
I hope you get more replies from people who know what they're talking about, but it may be worth speaking with your consultant to see if they can swap you to an alternative medicine that will be as effective for you.
From nhs.uk: "Medicines such as tamoxifen, anastrozole and exemestane work in a similar way to letrozole".
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
