Hi there
Thanks for having me here. My daughter, age 37 needs to go onto endocrine therapy for her secondary breast cancer which has spread to her lungs. She tried Tamoxifen after a lumpectomy for secondaries, but her mental health deteriorated steeply and she is now medicated. She is also AuAdhd. She is terrified mental health will now dip again. Is there anyone on here that can relate or offer anything please. XX
I was diagnosed at 33, autistic ADHD questionable, I'm not in quite the same position as your daughter but on tamoxifen. My nurse wanted me to get an ADHD diagnosis but haven't yet. 6 months on tamoxifen and some mood changes, often colder with a few hot sweats but there is an antidepressants that helps with sweats called venlafaxine which I've heard good about from others. Also ask her nurse about counselling and anything else they can do, my theory is try it all sometimes is works sometimes it doesn't but we are where we are and just got to roll with it.
