Hello,
Thirteen years ago I was diagnosed and treated and have had few problems, apart from the pain due to nerve damage. I understand this is relatively common, although; I was not informed of this side affect.
For years, I had underarm cording but when I took up swimming I was shocked to find it had disappeared completely! Has anyone else had this experience?
I have never discussed my condition or concerns with anyone and have no friends who have had a breast cancer diagnosis.
Hi there, I haven’t had the same experience of cording (or swimming) but I also have some nerve damage and lymphoedema, which I think might be more common than we think. The “late effects” team that I saw did recommend swimming as an excellent therapy so it sounds like this worked for you. Best wishes
