Hi everyone ️.

I recently found a lump in my right armpit and I thought it was a spot so I tried to squeeze it. Nothing came out. There's no head or pimple in the middle. It's not hot or hurting and it's painless. It's not even a ingrown hair because I don't get chance to shave.. And I don't have periods so it's nothing to do with time of the month. I'm also not ill or fighting with the flu or anything.

I went to the gp and she felt it, she said she wanted me to try antibiotics for 7 days and then if it doesn't go ill have to go to the breast clinic.

Has anyone else been through similar?

Kind regards and thank you for reading ,

  • Hi

Yes, I had similar. I found a lump in my right armpit and was referred to the breast clinic. This was biopsied and turned out to be something benign called PASH. There are lots of reasons there can be lumps and bumps which aren’t always bad. When I was examined, however, cancer was found in my left breast which has now been removed/treated. I wouldn’t have had a clue about it if it wasn’t for this lump. It’s good you are being checked. x

  • Hi

I know it’s worrying going to the breast clinic, but it is good you have been referred and are being checked. Hopefully you will get your appointments and results soon. x
