Hi

I had a wide local excision and radiotherapy just over a year ago for breast cancer and lymph nodes were clear at that time. I have been getting a lot of pain deep in back / chest area and had a ct scan which has shown a lesion in T2. Awaiting an MRI to get more info on if it’s serious or not. Anyone had similar experience? X

  • Hi, yes I had pain in my back and chest area following lumpectomy and radiotherapy.  I had a ct scan that showed up degenerative changes in my spine at multiple areas.  I still have nagging pain that I have to manage.  If I’m on my feet or standing doing alot of dishes it feels as if someone is putting a red hot poker into my back.   I put it down to nerve pain from the lumpectomy.  I can honestly say it took two years for the nerve pain to settle.  As with your breast cancer diagnosis take one day at a time. I wish you all the best for your MRI. Hugs xx
