Hi I am newly diagnosed initially DCI’S and now a few weeks later it’s three small invasive the biggest 7mm lobular and one 6mm positive sentinel macromestatis . Sentinel biopsy was done a month after initial surgery and they took two nodes . I am being recommended radiation , hormones and ck something instead of lymph node clearance and I am very frightened . Possible chemo but not sure . I am frightened it has spread further and every day waiting is making me very low and panicked . They simply don’t know if more axilla nodes are affected but apparently radiation and the hormones shd deal with it . Meanwhile am thinking large lymph in groin is spread and every other symptom . Can anyone reassure me who has been in a similar position , and give tips on how to get a grip because I can’t continue in this state . Thankyou xx
Hi Beckynervous2d
Welcome to the forum, I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. I had lymph node involvement when I was diagnosed with breast cancer over five years ago and again over two years ago. Both times I had a CT and Bone scan and both times they found no spread. What you are feeling is perfectly natural, it's a frightening time to be diagnosed with breast cancer, we've all been there.
Try to keep busy doing the things that you love to try to take your mind off things. Try and get out in the fresh air at least once a day as walking helps. If you still find that you are struggling you can give the helpline a ring on 0808 808 0000 to talk to someone about how you are feeling, they can even arrange counselling for you if that's what you'd like. Alternatively if you have a Maggie's or another cancer near you you can either ring them or call in to talk to someone about how you are feeling. They can also arrange counselling for you and some other therapies to help with your anxiety, like reflexology and or Reiki.
I've had counselling as well as reflexology and Reiki and I found that they helped.
Wishing you the best of luck with whatever comes next for you.
Best wishes

Thankyou so much for your words of encouragement and I am glad you are ok now .. I am hoping if there are more nodes that the radiation will kill everything they seem to not take them away now like they used to so it’s a gamble if there is more positive nodes … I need to try and be positive but it’s not easy but I will try because I can’t stay in this state .. what treatment did you have and were they macrostasis or whatever they call them ? Xx
The first time I had AC Chemo which is a combination of Doxorubicin and Cyclophosphamide and Taxol. The second time I had TC which is a combination of Docetaxel and Cyclophosphamide. They weren't as far as I know.
Thankyou … I think I get radiation in case there are any other positive nodes .. and hormones etc poss chemo but because it’s lobular am not sure .. x
