Hi, new to the group I am in palliative care with metastic breast, lung cancer, I am on letrozle and abemaciclib, have been on them for 4 months, horrendous first month with diarrhea which also included a bout of food poisoning ie campylobacter, the tablets were reduced to 100g, I seem to be managing now, but I dofeel weary, and not the most healthy eater, I find mini bouts of depression appearing, a y advice welcome.
Hi Lakes lady. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I hear that abemaciclib has the very bad diarrhea side effect. Have you still got it, or has it settled down now? I have metastatic breast cancer with bone mets in most of my bones. I am on ribociclib and exemastane (letrazole did not agree with me). You could always speak to your oncologist about changing your medication. I feel weary sometimes but I find that exercise helps strangely enough. I have four dogs and I walk them every day. If I sit down and don't keep active my pain gets worse. I was diagnosed one year ago and found the first few months very stressful and wondered if I would see Christmas. Now I feel a lot more positive and we even went on holiday to Portugal in September. I am living with cancer not dying with cancer. I am on here everyday if you need to chat. Big hugs.

Hi Lakes lady
Welcome to the forum, I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. I'm sorry to hear that you have metastic breast and lung cancer. Try if you can to keep yourself busy by doing something that you love to do. If you want you can ring the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 0000 to talk to someone about how you are feeling. They can arrange some free counselling for you if that's what you want. Alternatively if you have a Maggie's centre or another cancer centre near you you can either call in or give them a ring. They can also arrange free counselling for you and some holistic treatments if that's what you would like.
Wishing you the best of luck with everything.
Best wishes
