Hi, I’ve recently been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, triple negative.
I’ve seen the consultant and had pre op. I go back tomorrow to see him. His letter said surgery, chemo and radiotherapy.
I had my gene testing last week so not sure at this point if that’s linked.
My head is all over the place! Xx
Hi, Welcome. Take your time, it's a lot to process and very scary. The waits and not knowing what's ahead is scary. However once you know your treatment plan you will feel more in control and will be looked after with loads of appointments.
I had my op chemo radiotherapy and now on Letrozole with 6 monthly bone infusions I'm back at work now
I was diagnosed May last year.
Be kind to yourself. Pamper yourself just now, distract yourself doing things you enjoy at the moment.
I wish you well in your recovery xx
Hi Thornea
Welcome to the forum, I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. I was diagnosed with triple negative over five years ago and then a different breast cancer over two years ago. After having treatment both time I made a full recovery and I have been cancer free for just over two years.
Wishing you the best of luck with the results of your gene test and your operation.
Best wishes
