Good morning everyone, I’ve recently been diagnosed with the above ductal invasive breast cancer. What a shock! I started chemotherapy on Wednesday and I’m struggling with that and the diagnosis. How can I get through this please? I feel so alone. I’m 70 and widowed.
Hi. I’m sorry you find yourself here. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 3 and a half years ago. Throughout and post treatment I have found talking to the Macmillan nurses really helpful and reassuring. Is there a Maggie’s centre near you? I don’t have one near me, but have spoken to them on the phone and they too were helpful, likewise Breast Cancer Now. If possible let your friends know how best they can help. I’ve actually got much closer to a couple of my friends since diagnosis.
I hope things go well for you
Thank you. Yes I have spoken to Maggies on the phone, found them helpful. Also Breast Cancer Now. I think it’s my anxiety that’s not helping! I have a great support network but bad day today I think
