Hi there, I'm one of the champions here in this group and I'm glad you've found us,  hope you'll find this a useful place for help and support.  

It's absolutely normal to feel scared, but don't forget, as well as this group, the lovely folks at Macmillan are at the end of the phone, 8am to 8pm on 0800 808 0000for advice, or simply to listen to your concerns.

Thank you so much had MRI scan and CTScan now got to go and have some clips inserted in the lymph nodes next week and then wait for decision on treatment

Hi can I just ask those of you that have had Chemotherapy have you been able to do things as normal I realise there will be good days and bad ?

A lot will depend on which drugs you have and how you react to them. I have 12 weeks of weekly Paclitaxel. My side effects were’t bad at all. I felt drained and needed to rest quite a lot. I had more limited capacity to get things done but it wasn’t dreadful. Don’t forget that your immune system is compromised so you’ll want to avoid going out into busy confined places. I didn’t go on public transport but i did go out for a bite to eat if I knew it would be quiet.

The place I had my chemo encouraged you to exercise in order to keep your strength up. I went to the gym twice most weeks and got out for at least a short walk virtually every day
