Hi there,

Just saying Hi eveyone on this grey Sunday afternoon which unfortunately matches my mood:(. I am 17mths in having had a lumpectomy and removal of 3 lymph nodes. I do feel blessed as I still have my breasts and feel I had got off lightlyI I only had radiation but now I am experiencing muscle aches & pains in my legs. And lately, over the past 3 weeks I keep getting intermittent stabbing pain & tingly feelings in my breast and "cording" in my right arm has come back. This was very challenging within the 1st few weeks of the operation but almost 1.5 yrs in, I am now experiencing these strange feelings again regularily which is uncomfortable. Sometimes, it effects my sleep and daily activities and I feel extremely tired and restless/anxious. Is anyone else feeling the same way?

May I ask the nurse specialists, if they can recommend effective types of excercise? and what could possibly be causing the pain I am feeling in my breast?. I am meeting with my GP tomorrow who will no doubt recommend I speak to the Oncologist. Obviously very concerned now and scared that the cancer is trying to come back!

  • Hi there, gosh, pains and strange feelings are so worrying aren’t they?  Good that you're seeing your GP, it's important to get things checked out.  I am 4 years post surgery and on letrozole and I have intermittent pains in my legs, plus some tingling, and from time to time my impacted breast is sore.  I had a full MRI a few months ago as the oncologist wanted to check and everything was fine. I hope you get some reassurance soon, best wishes
