I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 1st May and with unrelated womb cancer on 30th May. The womb was more invasive so has been treated first with hysterectomy and I’m currently in the middle of 25 days of radiotherapy then 2 of brachytherapy. The only treatment so far for my bc is Letrozole but I was told by the nurse on the phone that I may need lumpectomy and radiotherapy, I’m wondering when I might be getting some more concrete treatment information.
Hi Lambournedf41d3 , and a warm welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear that you’ve recently been diagnosed with two different types of cancer, that’s a rough one for sure. I can’t really advise re timescales but wonder if you might give the breast clinic a call to ask for advice? There’s also an Ask a nurse section on this site. And the helpline is also really useful. One thing I’d say though is that, from a friend’s experience of brain cancer alongside a recurrence of ovarian cancer, the two hospitals weren’t the best at coordinating/ communicating. So I wouldn’t hesitate to contact either one just to check that they are aware of what’s going on with the other cancer.
Well done for getting to this point with evicting the womb cancer. Sending love and a big virtual hug, HFxx
