Have just 3 weeks ago been diagnosed with breadt cancer .Am dyevto have a mastectomy next week .zim having a hard time processing the fact that I have cancer.i am an emotionally wreck
I’m really sorry. It is truly shocking.
Be kind to yourself and try to focus on the steps they’ll take to help you get rid of the cancer.
There are lots of us here who’ve been through a cancer journey of one sort or another. Proof that you do get through it!
You’ll meet some really kind people who all want to help you
Before your surgery take all the advice they give you about eating well, drinking lots of water, and getting out for a bit of exercise if you’re able. It will help you come to terms with what you’re going through.
Very best wishes
Thank you so much for that advice.Yesterday was a bad day,to make it even worse ,a little stray can that we had been feeding ,who had adopted us fir the passed year had been killed over the weekend. My husband went out and found her and buried her in our garden. So being emotional over my own problem and then the cat I'm wondering where I am getting all the tears from. This is going to be my last week at work I need to get out so I'm not having so much time thinking.my biggest problem is sleeping I can only sleep maybe two hours a nite.
Hi Maryb5dfa55
Welcome to the forum. I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast. What you are feeling is perfectly natural, a cancer diagnosis is something that you never want and is hard to process at times.
I've been diagnosed with breast cancer twice, the first time was 5 years ago and the second time was two years ago. Both times I had to have chemo and a lumpectomy and I also had radiotherapy twice. I made a full recovery and I am currently cancer free.
Wishing you the best of luck with your operation and whatever comes next after that.
Best wishes
