Hi everyone

Diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer end of April and started Chemotherapy on Monday will be 3 cycles then four then op. Was scared stiff first time but the nurses and other staff were fantastic at putting me at ease. So far no pain or symptoms Grinning

Only problem is getting a good night's sleep. Was awake from 2 am read book on and of and got up at 6. Anyone got any suggestions on what would help. Thinking

  • You may have been prescribed steroids as part of your treatment plan, if so try taking them in the morning.   If that's not the case speak to your oncologist who prescribed me some lorazepam to help me sleep when I was feeling rough.  Worked like a dream.

Hopefully you will remain symptom and side effect free.

Hope you get some sleep soon x

  • Hi. I can’t remember the name but one of the drugs they give you to take home they told me not to take less than 5 hours before bedtime as they can keep you awake so I take them with breakfast and after my lunch.

  • Hi I was diagnosed with breast cancer back in November and had a lumpectomy and lymph node removal in March. I thought that would be the end of it but no how wrong I was I now have to have 6 roundsWearyf chemo Weary I to am finding it hard to sleep and feel so alone and tired. I get what your feeling right now

  • Hi. Please don’t worry, I know everyone is different but I want to give you hope. I have just completed 9 sessions of chemo with few side effects and carried on life as normal. I was so scared but you can do this.

Were there a few lymph nodes affected is that why you need chemo?
