Had a left breast mastectomy and lymph node removal now I'm starting chemotherapy any advice ladies
Hi Ruby,
Welcome to the forum.
During chemo listen to your body. Rest when needed. Keep a diary of any side effects. Always a tablet to try and overcome them. Discuss them at each visit.
Rest, eat well when you can and if able to do so have a wee walk in the fresh air.
Some people sail through it others not so lucky. We are all different. My worst side effects were gastric upset and fatigue.
Freeze pineapple juice in cubes for mouth ulcers. Apparently there is an enzyme in them that helps and it did.
Good luck with your treatment and recovery journey. Keep us updated.
Sending hugs xxx
Hi
Dont be afraid to ask for help. You will probably lack energy so rest when you need to. Keep an eye on your temperature and don’t hesitate to call the helpline if you have concerns. Take your anti sickness meds as advised even if you think you don’t need them.
hope it goes well.
