Dent in your bra

Hi, following surgery for the removal of 4/5 tumours to the top right quadrant of my breast you can sometimes see a dent when wearing a tshirt. I do wear a T-shirt bra but other than putting a folded tissue or cotton balls in my bra, is there something I can buy or a special bra I can buy.  Thank you .

  • I've seen in M&S bra's with insert cups in them that you can put cup fillers into. They are mostly bras for people who have had mastectomys but could help you or padded bras. I'm going in for a lumptectomy at the end of May and may need these as the lump is quite large compared to my breast size. A little scared how I'm going to look afterwards.

  • Try M&S for post surgery bras or padded bras

  • Talk to your breast nurse, she can make you and appointment for a chicken fillet and fitted bra. Both are free.

I was sceptical when I went but wasn't what I expected. Brilliant and when wearing feels natural.

You won't be disappointed trust me, plus they give you your measurements and a leaflet with the contact number to buy more bras in different styles and colours.

  • Hi, I hope all goes well with your surgery at the end of May.  I was very nervous about how I was going to look after surgery.  You will be pleasantly surprised.  The only time you’ll notice a difference really is when you bend over.  Otherwise the surgeon will fill out with your breast with the rest of the breast tissue.  I was grand after my first surgery but due to my margins not being clear I had a second surgery.  My 2nd wound was still on the areola which makes me look. As if I’ve only 1/2 a nipple and it’s numb.  The surgeons are great and know what they are doing.
