Hello all
Just thought I would add my details so far
I am a 56 year old mother of 3. My right breast cancer diagnosed December 2024 but found in November under a regular NHS screening. I never felt any lump. The doctor told me it was too small to feel and at that point it was estimated from scan and MRI as 16mm. Lumpectomy and SND removed a 35mm grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma with DCIS. My margins were checked and clear with 0/5 nodes. ER 7/8, PR 8/8, HER2 negative. Oncotype recurrence score 18 so lower risk.
I will be taking letrozole for the next 7 years so far without any major problems. I still waiting to finish my radiotherapy due to my really annoying seroma ( which just refuses to heal) but fingers crossed looking to start again June 2025.
I have been lurking but thought I would say hello.
Hi Jellybeanz welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your story. I'm one of the champions here in this group and I'm glad you've found us. Sorry to hear you're struggling with a seroma, I also had a delay to my radiotherapy due to mine, I think it's quite common, but I hope it clears up soon for you. Best wishes
