Hi everyone
Was diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday.
Had more tests and waiting for the her2 test to come back.
Im more worried about what it will do to me emotionally and for my family too
Hi Paula43
Welcome to the forum. The waiting is the worst. The unknown is hard to deal with.
Once you know type and have a treatment plan you will be able to take back some kind of control.
The emotional strain is difficult for both you and your family. Sometimes you can talk other times not. It's difficult to try to look after everyone.
Please be kind to yourself, do what you need to at the moment to get to treatment stage. Shout, scream, cry it's all okay. We've all been there. Try to do things you enjoy at the minute whilst waiting.
You've done the right thing reaching out here. Lots of support and questions can be answered from all those with lived experience.
I wish uou well in your recovery, feel free to ask questions. Lots of support here also macmillan nurses and cancer care.

Hi Paula. I hope you are ok. I found that the best thing to do was wait until you have all the facts first, what type, what grade, what treatment first. Do your research and then decide the best thing for you to do. I know it’s such a worrying time but once you have all the facts you will feel better and know how to deal with it best for you.
Keep us updated and please remember you are not alone xx
