Hi everyone, first time poster. Im 45 yo and autistic and from Northern Ireland, Derry/Londonderry to be precise. Went to my GP at end of January for menopause support and was given HRT patches noticed a lump at middle of March contacted GP ASAP as I have an aunt - not blood related had breast cancer and passed 6 years ago Immediately went off my HRT patch Diagnosed with stage 2 Breast cancer at end of March 30mm lump - Had surgery including lymph nodes biopsy on 14th April. Saw Consultant and BCN on Friday 25th - received good news - no more surgery it hasnt spread to lymph nodes. Im not HER2 positive but Oestrogen/progesterne postive Have to wait 2 weeks for pathology to arrive from America. Ill get my results over phone but Consultant/BCN have devised that its going to be either chemo/radio therapy/ tablet or radio therapy/ tablet. Trying to keep positive but its difficult at times when routine rapidly changes. Im off work - Im NHS Admin for 3 months at least. I hate waiting.
Hi, and a warm welcome to the Forum. I'm one of the champions here in this group and I'm also from Northern Ireland originally, though I now live in the UK. There are a lot of positives in your post but I know how difficult it is when you are waiting for results. I must admit, I kept busy to ensure I was distracted to stop myself having time to think and for me, working helped. I hope you get your results soon so you know the next steps. Best wishes
