Hi to all on this journey that none of us sought to embark on.

We got this.

Right now... I'm just hoping that this persistent scalp/skull ache will subside soon... I'm presuming it's the hangover from the ABSOLUTE BLOODY TRAUMA of a level of pain I was not prepared for, from the first 30 minutes of wearing the cold cap...

  • Hi. Yes I had a sore head from the cold cap too. I was worried it was soreness before falling out so tried to take extra care during that time.

  • Yikes, I hope this pain subsided for you.  I have to admit, I wasn't brave enough to cold cap, I just went for the head shave a wig, and I have to say, I loved the wig, went for a totally new look and enjoyed it.  Best wishes for your treatment.

  • Hi I used the cold cap and it worked well.  I took paracetamol just before the treatment which meant I had little pain.  I also made sure my seat was warm and wrapped myself in the provided blanket.

Certain staff were better at putting the cap on than others.  I provided my own band which fitted the cap better.

Only you can decide if it is worth it.  It was for me.
