Hi everyone xx
I'm new to the group I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and have surgery next Wednesday
I'm going through alot of emotions with alot to deal with including appointments, family and work. I have not really had the time to let it all sink in. I kinda feel like I'm missing something or like I've not dealt with the shock and I've got the surgery soon. I am happy to be here and I feel safe and at home.
Hi Gail
Welcome to the forum. I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm glad to hear that you feel safe and at home on this forum. The hardest part of this journey is the waiting for appointments and things to happen.
Wishing you the best of luck with your operation.
Best wishes

Hi and welcome. Are you having a mastectomy or lumpectomy? I was similarly in shock, feels surreal, it goes quickly but at the same time slowly whilst waiting for operations, treatment etc.
I also feel safe when I’m at home, especially at weekends when I can’t be touched with phone calls and appointments!
I hope you are ok, happy to answer any questions if you are having a mastectomy as that is what I had.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
