I’m feeling very shocked after having the results from my wide local excision and sentinal node biopsies on 27.3.25. The margins showed pre cancerous cells as did the lymph node biopsies. I’m now looking at mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I am 56 and had no idea about any of this but was recalled after a routine mammogram.
I wasn’t expecting to be told this news this evening and am shocked and can’t get my head around any of this. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling like this. I’m so scared. My cancer is grade 2 invasive ducal carcinoma. HER2 -ve. Anyone else going through the same just now?
I am going to have the mastectomy on 24.3.25 and have opted not to have reconstruction at the same time. Just reaching out for anyone going through similar x
