Not sure where to start I have my face to face appointment on Tues and worried on what stage it will be

  • Hi Chrissy2025,

Welcome to the forum. It's a worrying time, however please try not to panic to much. I know easier said than done. I was in your position May last year. My anxiety was through the roof. However it's amazing all the treatments available for breast cancer.

I had her2neg erpostitve prpositive grade 3. I've had lumpectomy and removal of sentinel nodes. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I'm now on Letrozole for 5 years and bone infusions 6monthly for 3 year.

I am now in remission and have returned to work in February.

Once you know your type and have treatment plan you can take control again and take it step by step I I wish you well in your recovery xx

  • Hello there

  • Hi

Welcome to the forum although I’m sorry you have to be here. I was in your position last year and remember the worry all too well. Waiting for results, tests and appointments really is the worst part but I guarantee you will feel better when you know what is happening and when. x

  • Hi Chrissy2025

im in the same position, worrying myself to death , don’t have my face to face appointment till the 27th

  • Hi Chrissy and other newbies, I'm so sorry you find yourselves here. My daughter was in your place in May 2023. We were both beyond terrified of the future. Try not to think too much about grade and stage - this waiting time is the worst. Once you have a treatment plan and get started, things will fall into place. Do keep talking to the CNS nurses, they're so knowledgeable and a fantastic support. Daughter finished her treatment six weeks ago - three different types of chemo, surgery and radiotherapy. No one's pretending it's easy but you will get through it. Keep posting here and very best wishes to you all. Sending love, strength and a big hug. ((( )))

  • Hi Chrissy2025,

It is anxiety provoking. Whilst waiting use this as a time to have some wee treats to yourself.

Distraction also helps spend time with people you gel to. Look out some box sets to watch when going through treatments. Do the things you can do just now like going out things you might not feel up to for a few months depending on your treatment program.

I wish you well. Please keep us update on your progress and use the forum, macmillan nurses and cancer care for supports.

    Sending hugs xx
