Zolendronic Acid Infusion

After my first infusion I had immediate and awful headache. Within 20 minutes I was cold and shivering so much it felt like I was fitting. Fortunately, almost exactly 24 hours later I felt fine again, just a bit drained. 

i hope that after a night or two of sleeping well you’ll feel ok.

I have only had one infusion so far in November. I felt a bit flu and achy for at most 2 days. I have been fine since.

Hi Summerskies, I also suffered flu like symptoms the day after my first zoledronic acid, but they only lasted a day. I had my second infusion last week and found that the symptoms were milder this time. Hope you feel better soon. Xx

Thank you. I actually slept better last night than I have in a long time. I'm going to have an early night and hope there is an improvement in the morning.

I also had Zoldronic acid. The first one the flu symptoms were horrible. Then the 2nd infusion much less symptoms and 3 even milder

I wish I had known how bad it was going to be. I did read all the stuff I got from the oncologist but I wasn't really prepared. Today is a bit better than yesterday as the pain seems to be just in my arms, hands and shoulders. Still have the headache but have had one every day since starting on Letrozole in December. Hopefully like you the symptoms will lessen as time goes on.
