Had lumpectomy, node removal and radiotherapy Jan 24.went for follow up scan and have been asked to come back. Very very anxious about everything. Have anxiety and depression feeing overwhelmed. Help!
First I am sorry you find yourself here - the place none of us want to come to..... however, once here you will find a whole new world full of kind, genuine people that going through the same or similar, have gone through the same or similar or have just started on this or similar path.
Please take a deep breath and calm down - no amount of anxiety or stress is going to help you or change any thing.
The main thing is you have had majority of treatment - I am wondering did you have combined lumpectomy operation and radiotherapy (at the same time).
Your call back could be for a number of reasons - the two thoughts I have would be for results or maybe have not got clear margins (but it could be lots of different reasons).
You could always phone and tell them how stressed you are and ask to be put on list for any cancellation appointments.
