Long term side effects

Hi all, not sure if many people post treatment are on here but thought I'd write anyway.  I finished treatment for TNBC back in February 2023 and am currently waiting for a date for my second fat transfer.  Not anxious about that as the last one was ok.  The thing I would like to know is if any of you have had difficulty dealing with what appears to be peri menopause. I know chemo can bring it on, so that coupled with the fact that I'm 46 it was inevitable. I have recently had bloods done to check my hormone levels and I'm due to see my GP in the new year.

I don't have all the symptoms.  I sleep well and the flushes aren't too bad but the fatigue is not good, my brain is like mush, and my levels of anxiety are bad. My GP put me on Sertraline which initially helped I had more patience with the children and was a lot more relaxed at work but the brain fog and confusion means I'm making stupid mistakes.

Just like to chat with someone else who's feeling like this and see how they are managing.

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read how you're feeling at the moment.

I was 61 when diagnosed with TNBC, so well past the peri menopause stage. Although I don't have the experience you're looking for I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

Hopefully someone with the right experience will be along soon.
