Another Newby.Just retired and came back from a lovely holiday and went for my routine mammogram. Recalled as something had shown up. Turned out to be a grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma, hormone receptor positive. Hopefully they have caught it early. I've had my lumpectomy 2nd day post op and feeling not too bad. Different retirement from what I had planned.
Hi Elorac , sorry you find yourself here but this place is a great source of support and shared experiences. I had similar cancer to yours and I’m now 6 years post diagnosis. One of the best pieces of advice I got early on was to take each stage of my particular cancer process a step at a time. Glad your op is done and that you’re not feeling too bad. Sending love and a big virtual hug, HFxx
Hi thanks for reaching out. I agree with what you say one step at a time and focus on that particular stage. A few weeks ago I was like a rabbit in the head lights reading everything and searching for jnfo everywhere, now I'm just focusing on each stage and feeling so.much better. X
