Morning
i’ve had a lumpectomy and told I need to return to surgery for further ‘shaving’ and possibly chemo after the sample is tested in America - a little part of me always wanted to visit America —I’m feeling overwhelmed and disappointed that there’s more waiting, more treatment and of course the underlying concern that all my niggles are secondaries !
Anyone been there or is there ? Best wishes everyone!
Hi Aussie56
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. What you are feeling is perfectly natural, we've all been there. The waiting for results and next steps is the worst part of this journey.
Wishing you the best of luck with the results of the sample sent to America.
Best wishes

Hi i had the oncotype test done it only took 8 days for it to come back. I had it done before they decided on treatment plan im still waiting for surgery its planned for 19th but my score was low so as long as lymph nodes are clear wont need chemo. It seems all hospitals work differently. If your score comes back high they may recommend chemo as an extra precaution from what I’ve seen. Sending you a hug x
