Hi 

I had my lumpectomy and sentinels removed Wednesday. Recovering better than I thought. I was worried sick prior to op but it wasnt as bad as I had it in my head. I am recovering better than I thoug it might be. Ask me again tomorrow after I change these dressings for the first time

I go from feeling okay to its sureal to fear. Mind goes all over. But this is a good forum with lots of support and advice. Xx

Hi Missmolly thank you for replying. a bit lonely tonight. your feelings are exactly how I'm feeling, 

During the day it's easy to distract ourselves. At night I find my mind wanders too much time to think. I'm trying also to stay positive keep it one step at a time and concentrate on feeling okay athe minute. Doesn't help TV rubbish as well

i will ask you how you are tomorrow, if i can find post, where do we start? nothing in my area by the looks. Nurse said to contact her but what hours are we to do that?

There re numbers you can phone for the macmillan nurse support. Do you have ant cancer care or magpies centres near bywhere you live. They are walk in with lots of face to face supports xx

Ask your breast care nurse where the nearest walk in centre to you is. It's helpful to be in person with people who understand what your going through. They also offer things like reflexology, reikki and other alternative therapies to help you relax x
