Hi all, I got diagnosed on Tuesday with a grade 1 tumour in left breast. It’s Her2 negative and oestrogen 7/8 . I am 42 and need an MRI next week to confirm size etc. they think it’s 1.7cm and not in lymph node but obviously can’t confirm till surgery.
just wanted to say hi and be able to talk to people.
My 6yr old son got diagnosed with a lumpy leukaemia in June last year and is almost through his intensive treatment. He should be almost in maintenance when they plan to do my surgery.
how is the even real. How can we both have cancer this year! Feel like we have been hit by a bus!
any advice people!? Greatfiy received!
Thanks
Hi Gen44
Sorry to hear you’ve been diagnosed. On the plus side it seems they’ve caught it early and hopefully Christmas 2024 will be a completely different story. I hope your journey is short and successful and I hope your poor son recovers quickly too. Sometimes life seems so unfair. It is unfair! Stay positive and try enjoy Christmas. Lots of hugs xxx
Hi Gem44
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been been diagnosed with breast cancer and that your son has leukaemia. No wonder you feel that you have been hit by a bus.
Try to take things a day at a time and do whatever you need to do to get through this. Even if it’s just to come on here and rant and rave about your situation.
Wishing you and your son the best of luck with whatever comes next for you both.
Best wishes.
