I had a core biopsy a month ago on the lump i found. But on thurs I had a vac biospy and 2 core biopsies on 2 areas on my right side. Now Saturday, the lump feels so much bigger and harder. But even the other part which only had a core biopsy on thurs and I couldn't feel anything...is now hard. Is this normal?
I will phone cancer nurses on Mon to ask as well as chat about hrt (reluctant to come off).
But picking my son from uni tomorrow and will be telling him then my mum and siblings. The thought of telling all of them makes me feel sick, but not telling them feels like I'm keeping a burdening secret. I was in a great place this morning mentally, but not now. Probably cos I talked to my son on the phone about picking him up tomorrow and I feel like I'm about to drop a bomb on him... i literally ust broke down sobbing writing that (hubbie out xmas dinner, so home alone). My dog jumped up from snoozing to give me kisses. She's now just lying on my lap staring at me.
This is just shite!!! Happy christmas!!
I'm sorry you're having a wobble - this is normal, and yes, it's shite. I hope the dog kisses helped. It won't be easy, but you might find that once you've told everyone, you will feel easier. Will hubby be with you when you tell them?
You can expect some discomfort from the core biopsies - I did especially after my second lot (same side/different lumps). As you've had the vac biopsy, it might be a bit more so - hopefully someone else can help there. There might be a bit of bleeding - did you get a sheet saying who to call out of hours if needed?
Good luck tomorrow.
Thanx lucky D.
Yes husband will be with me.
The vac biopsie wound is a bit moist, so sitting here with boob out to try and get more air to it to scab over. Dog is gr8. When I lost my bro and other major family traumas she comforted me. Now if I even touch my eyes she jumps up to kiss me better. Even when SHE was diagnosed with cancer I got upset and she comforted me.!
I'm feeling better now though. Hopefully i will be ok tomorrow. Thanks again.
