Hi, I’m 16 weeks post right mastectomy and SLN biopsy. All been good up until a few days ago when my scar started to hurt, I have now got a red rash and slight swelling around the scar and it’s worrying me. Will seek GP advice tomorrow but wondered if anyone could offer some advice m. Thanks x
Hi Randalf welcome to the forum and I am so sorry to hear how worried that you are . it is possible that this could be a seroma, which is pocket of blood like a haematoma which can form and may need to be drained or it could potentially be the start of an infection. Either way you are doing exactly the right thing seeking medical advice and somebody needs to have sight of that for you to check out what is going on.
